2-day Workshop: Pastel Portraits Supply List

• Student-grade dry pastels - NOT oil pastels - in flesh tones:

  • White, Naples Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Rose or Light Pink, Olive Green, Viridian or Emerald Green, Lavendar, Burnt Sienna, Umber, Grey

• A few professional-grade pastels in non-flesh tones:

  • Cadmium Red, Cobalt Blue, Aqua or Teal, Fuscia or Hot Pink, Violet

• Vine or willow charcoal, soft

• White charcoal pencil or white pastel pencil

• Kneaded eraser

• 3 - 4 sheets of Canson Mi-Tientes toned paper, 19” x 25”. Recommended colors:

  • Orchid, Red Earth, Felt Grey, Sand, Light Green, Light Blue, Sky Blue

• Optional: Set of pastel pencils for more detailed areas

• Optional: 1 - 2 sheets of sanded pastel paper

• Optional: 1 - 2 sanded pastel boards
